Rahul Gandhi meets Delhi labourers; Congress hails them as backbone of economy

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, recently visited Guru Tegh Bahadur (GTB) Nagar in Delhi to meet and work alongside local labourers. He shared pictures of his interaction and manual labour activities on his WhatsApp channel, emphasizing his commitment to empowering manual labourers.

Supporting labourers' rights

During his visit, Gandhi expressed concern over the lack of respect and adequate wages for manual labourers in India. He highlighted the daily struggles faced by labourers, who often earn meagre wages that are not guaranteed due to inflation. Gandhi reiterated that his lifelong mission is to ensure full rights and respect for manual workers across the country.

Gandhi participated actively in manual labour at a construction site in Delhi, engaging directly with the tasks performed by the labourers. The Congress leader's initiative aimed to underscore the challenges faced by these workers and to show solidarity with their cause.
